Happy Easter - Sewing with Twine

Hi, everyone!  Today I have an Easter card to share with you that uses the SP & Company Easter Bunny Sentiments and Easter Eggy stamp sets.  Instead of just stamping the eggs, I stitched around them using baker's twine, but I'll show you how I did this towards the end of the post.  The yellow patterned paper is from the Echo Park 6x6 Candy Shoppe Pad and the pink patterned paper is from the 12x12 Candy Shoppe Collection Kit.
I used the egg outline stamp from the Easter Eggy set and stamped four eggs on some kraft card stock with VersaMark ink.  You can pretty much do this technique with any simple stamp.  It's fun and adds a lot of interest to your project!
Then I took my paper piercer and pierced holes around each of the outlines.  You can just eyeball the holes to try to get them equally spread apart.
I took four different colors of baker's twine and stitched it though the holes using a somewhat large, dull needle with an eye big enough for the twine.  All the ends are just taped to the back so you can't see them.  It's easier to pop this layer up on some dimensional adhesive because of the bulk on the back.
Don't forget to check out the SP Stamps Blog for more crafty fun!
Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a great day!  :)
