Quick Christmas Set

Hi everyone!  Christmas is just two days away!  Last year right around this time I shared a really quick card, tag, and thank you note set so I thought now would be the perfect time to share another set!
Click HERE for the post form last year.
For the main image on all three of these cards I used the My Favorite Things - Starry Christmas stamp set.  I stamped them in VersaMark ink and brushed on different colors of Perfect Pearls.  Basically, it's a shimmery pigment powder that sticks to the ink.  I absolutely love how shiny and fancy this looks and how little time it takes.  You just set the powder by misting it lightly with water.
The sentiment on the tree card is from the same Starry Christmas stamp set that all the images are from.  The sentiment on the reindeer thank you note is from the SP & Company - Ultimate Sentiments I stamp set and the to and from are individual letter stamps I had in my stash.
The twine on the tag is the Red Sunset by CraftKin.  This twine has white, orange and deep red mixed into one strand.  I only wanted the white and red so I pulled the orange strand out.
To finish everything off I added a colored rhinestone to each of the projects.
Sorry about the first pic where you can see my photo box, it wasn't big enough for everything!
I hope this quick Christmas set inspires you to get those last minute cards, tags, and thank you notes made!
Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a great day!  :)

Bluebirds and Snow - Christmas

Hi, everyone!  Can you believe Christmas is only a couple weeks away?  AH!  For this card I used the brand new SP & Company - Love Birds stamp.  I think this is just adorable.  I'm a sucker for anything cute and animal related.

I colored them with my Copics and then cut them out using one of my Stampin' Up! Label dies.  I sponged around the edges with Broken China Distress Ink to help mimic the sky.  I really wanted there to be snow, but not the typical snowflake stamping, I wanted snow actually over the entire image.  I had an idea in my head, but I was afraid to do it because it would involve coloring white gel pen dots all over the image I spent awhile coloring, lol!  I decided to just go for it, and I'm glad I did, I love how it turned out.  I will definitely have to do this again.  I just randomly made different sized white dots with my gel pen over the entire image.

The patterned paper is from the Echo Park - Reflections Christmas 6x6 paper pad.  The card base is the SP & Company - Kraft Woodgrain Card Stock.  This stuff is great!  The sentiment is from the SP & Company - Filled with Cheer Emma stamp set and is heat embossed in white.

I finished everything off with some white gel pen stitch lines, a little heart, and a baker's twine bow.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a great day!

Season's Greetings

Hi, everyone!  Today I have another sparkly holiday card to share with you!  I started off with a piece of dark blue card stock and die cut it with the My Favorite Things - Falling Snowflakes die.  You also get all the little snowflake pieces that you can use as confetti in the card or as accents on the card itself.  To get the gold spots on the front I used the Heidi Swapp - Gold Lame Color Shine Spritz.  Instead of spraying it from the bottle I unscrewed the cap and then tapped some of the liquid off of the sprayer tube that was in the bottle.  This gives more of a spotted look rather than an even misting.

I backed the snowflakes with a piece of sparkly silver card stock from my stash.  I am loving sparkles, gold, and silver this season!

I tied some Candy Red Baker's Twine around the blue and silver card stock and then mounted that whole piece onto a red piece with some dimensional adhesive.  I adhered the red piece directly to the white card base and then added some white gel pen stitch lines around the border.

To finish everything off I added a sentiment from the My Favorite Things - Starry Christmas stamp set.  I've said it before, but I really love the images and variety of sentiments you get in this set!

That's all for this sparkly card!  I really think this layout and color scheme would work well for the 4th of July, too!  I'll have to keep that in mind for next year.  ;)

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a great day!

Sparkly Snowflakes

Hi, everyone!  Today I have a quick Christmas card to share with you that is flat so it's perfect for mailing.  I used the SP & Company - Christmas Medley stamp set for the snowflakes, the Hug a Bug set (retired) for the little dots, and the Filled with Cheer Emma set for the sentiment.

I stamped the snowflakes in VersaMark ink and heat embossed them using some Iridescent Ice embossing powder from Stampin' Up!  The powder is basically clear embossing powder with glitter mixed in.  I really like it and think it gives a pretty shimmer.  Then I used the little solid dot from the Hug a Bug set and heat embossed those in gold.  You could use a pencil eraser to stamp the dot as well!  The sentiment was stamped on vellum and heat embossed in gold.

I wrapped the sentiment piece around the top layer and then adhered that to a red piece and adhered those to a white card base.

The holidays can be busy so having quick, easy cards is a must!

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a great day!  :)

Funny Reindeer

Hi, everyone!  Today I have another Christmas card to share with you!  I love this time of year for card making!  I used to the cute SP & Company - Funny Reindeer stamp from the Tina Wenke collection for my main image.

To get the fur texture on his body I colored him with my Copics and then put some Colorless Blender refill onto an old scrap of jean fabric and then dabbed it onto the reindeer.  Make sure you color whatever you want to do this technique to first so that it doesn't add that texture to any other part of the image.  I finished coloring him with my Copics and then added some Glossy Accents to his nose and the ornaments and then some Stickles to the bells.

I am loving this card layout lately for larger colored images.  It allows me to add some interest to the background with patterned paper while still keeping the focus on the main image.  The patterned paper is from the Echo Park - Reflections Christmas 6x6 paper pad.

I finished everything off with some baker's twine and a Turtle Shell button.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a great day!

Christmas Gift Boxes

Hi, everyone!  Today I have a few Christmas gift boxes with you!  For the main image and sentiment of each box I used the My Favorite Things - Starry Christmas stamp set.  I was immediately drawn to this set because of the three main images and the mix of holiday sentiments.  This is perfect for so many holiday projects and also for mass-producing cards or in my case, boxes!

I stamped each of the images in VersaMark ink and then heat embossed them in gold onto some vellum.  The vellum actually covers a window in each of the boxes, but you can't tell in the pictures.

The background base of each box was stamped using the Lawn Fawn - Woodgrain Backdrops stamp set.  I knew I wanted something but I needed it to be subtle and the woodgrain was perfect.

All of the card stock I used for the box tops was from the Bazzill Card Shoppe collection.  The green is Gumdrop, the red is Red Hots and the blue is Whirlypop.

To finish everything off I added some silver stretchy cord and some white gel pen stitch lines.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a great day!

Toasty Teddy

Hi, everyone!  Today I have a wintery card to share with you.  I used the SP & Company - Teddy Staying Toasty stamp from the Gill Roberts Collection.  This little guy is just too cute!  I colored him with my Copics and then masked him off so I could ink the background.

I spritzed some clear shimmer spray over the inked background to mimic snow.  The patterned paper that I used to mat the main image is from the Echo Park - Winter Wishes 6x6 paper pad.  The dots on his scarf were colored in with a white gel pen.

I embossed the card base with a snowflake embossing folder to tie in the whole winter theme.  To finish everything off I added a few Coconut Oil buttons and some purple baker's twine.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a great day!  :)

I Heart Fall

Hi, everyone!  Today I have a fall card to share with you.  I used the adorable fox from the Lawn Fawn - Into the Woods stamp set for my main image.  I stamped him in Memento - Tuxedo Black ink and colored him with Copics:
Fox Body: YR18, YR16, YR15, YR14, YR12
White on Fox: W2, W1
Fox Ears: R20, W2, W1
Heart in Sentiment: R27, R24, YR18, YR16

I cut him out using the matching Into the Woods die set.  The woodgrain frame was stamped with the Lawn Fawn - Woodgrain Backdrops stamp set.  The patterned paper behind the fox is from the Lawn Fawn - Into the Woods 6x6 paper pad.

To make the log for the fox to sit on I stamped the log image from the Into the Woods set twice.  I just stamped the matching ends together and masked off either end so it would be just the right length.  I stamped the sentiment and stamped and cut out a few leaves from the same set.

To finish everything off I added some Craftkin - Red Sunset baker's twine hand stitched around the inner edge of the frame.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a great day!  :)

Winter Birds on Branch - Christmas

Hi, everyone!  Today I have a Christmas card to share with you.  With the holidays fast approaching, you can't have too many cards made!  I used the SP & Company - Three Winter Birds stamp from the Tina Wenke collection and colored it with my Copics.  I colored these as cardinals, but I realized later that's not what they are.  Haha, oh well... they are cardinals now.  :)

I cut them out using one of the Stampin' Up! Labels dies and added glitter to the snow.  The patterned paper is all from the Echo Park - Reflections Christmas 6x6 paper pad.  I added some red twine and a Turtle Shell button to the upper left.

To finish everything off I added some white gel pen stitch lines to the card base.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a great day!  :)

'Tis the Season Snowman

Hi, everyone!  Today I have a Christmas card to share with you!  I also want to share a little tutorial of how I colored the snowman at the end of this post.  For the main image I used the sweet Whiff of Joy - Cute Snowman stamp.  I stamped him with Memento - Tuxedo Black ink on X-Press It paper and colored him with Copics:
snowman body- B32, B21, W1
snowman arms- E59, E57
snowman nose- YR18, YR16, YR14
hat- C9, C7, C6, C5, C4
scarf- G28, G24 G21, R39, R29, R27, R24, E55, E31, E51
cardinal- R39, R29, R27, R24, E55, E31, E51
snow- B32, B21, B000, B0000

The card base is the Bazzill Card Shoppe - Chocolate Malt.  The thickness of this card stock is great and perfect for card bases!  The background, scalloped edge, main image, and sentiment were all cut out using the My Favorite Things - Blueprints 6 die set.  The patterned paper is from the Echo Park - Reflections Christmas 6x6 paper pad.  The sentiment is from the My Favorite Things - Starry Christmas stamp set.

The twine is from craftkin.com and is in the color Red Sunset.

To finish everything off I added some white gel pen stitch lines to the card base, some glitter to the snow and some Glossy Accents to the snowman's nose.

To color the snowman I first made little dots around the outside edges using my darkest color, B32.  You will want to have fewest of the darkest dots.

Next I added some dots in B21 in between the other dots and I also brought them out a little further into the center.

Finally I added quite a few dots in W1.  This is the lightest color so you can add more of them and don't have to be as careful.  I brought these out even further into the center.
You can also color snowmen the traditional way where you blend the colors, but this is a fun alternative!

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a great day!  :)

Christmas Cookies Tag

Hi, everyone!  Today I have a tag to share with you that I put on a little package of cookies.  I used the SP & Company - Handmade Holiday Gift Tags for the sentiment and the stamp on the tag behind it.  The tag itself was cut out using a Stampin' Up! die from the labels set.  I cut the tag out of some awesome Walk the Plank woodgrain card stock.  I am in love with this stuff!

The sentiment and circle around it were stamped in VersaMark ink on vellum and then heat embossed in gold.  To get it to adhere to the patterned paper beneath I just added the tiniest dots of glue behind the embossing so it wouldn't show through.  The patterned paper is from the Echo Park - Reflections Christmas 6x6 paper pad.

I added a little red strip with banner ends underneath the sentiment piece so that it would pop off the tag a little better.

I wanted to add a little something more so I die cut a couple little holly leaves and berries.  I added some rhinestones on top of the berries for added sparkle.

Last but not least I stamped the cookies from the same stamp set and put them at the top of the tag for some added interest.  Then some white gel pen stitch lines to finish it off.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a great day!  :)

Simple Christmas Card

Hi, everyone!  Today I wanted to share a simple Christmas card with you.  Since people normally send out lots of Christmas cards I wanted to make one that was really simple to reproduce.  I used the SP & Company - Christmas Medley stamp set for the snowflakes.  The sentiment is from the Christmas Emma set and the little star is from the Handmade Holiday Gift Tags set.

I die cut a piece of white card stock and stamped all the snowflakes, sentiment and stars and then added a red twine bow around the bottom.  I popped that whole piece up on dimensional adhesive on a red card base.

To finish everything off I added some white gel pen stitch lines around the die cut piece and some Stickles to the snowflakes.  It was super quick and easy and perfect for mass-producing!

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a great day!  :)

Thank You Bunches

Hi, everyone!  Today I have a thank you card to share.  I used the SP & Company - Stitchery Doo Banners stamp set for the words.  The 'thank' and 'you' were already in the set but I had to piece together the word 'bunches'.  I cut the words out by hand and just adhered them to some vellum that I placed behind the smallest die from the Polaroid Frames die set.  The patterned paper is all from the Echo Park - Beautiful Life 6x6 paper pad.

For the background I used the Wooden It Be Nice Woodgrain Background stamp.  I added some twine and then clipped the polaroids on with tiny clothespins.  To finish everything off I added a little heart covered in Glossy Accents and some white gel pen stitch lines.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a great day!  :)

Happy Halloween

Hi, everyone!  Today I have a halloween card to share with you!  For the main image I used the adorable Inky Impressions – Angelica Raking digi stamp.  I printed her out on X-Press IT Blending Paper and colored her with Copics:
skin- E55, E53, E51, E50, R20 (cheeks)
hair- E29, E27, E25, E23
outfit- BG09, BG07, BG05, BG02, BG01, Y35, Y15, Y13, Y11
boots- C9, C7, C6, C5, C4
rake- E37, E35, W3, W2, W1
pumpkins- YR18, YR16, YR15, YR14, YR12
leaves- E35, G24, G21
airbrushed the sky with BG02 and BG01.
This was a larger image so I decided to make a 5.5″ x 5.5″ card and keep it really simple.  The patterned paper is from the Lawn Fawn – Into the Woods 6×6 paper pad.  I added an orange ribbon and tied it into a bow and then added a button with some Key Lime baker’s twine.
I finished everything off with some white gel pen stitch lines and a ‘happy halloween’ sentiment.
Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a great day!  :)

Hello Deer

Hi, everyone!  Today I have a 'hello' card to share with you!  I used the super sweet deer from the Lawn Fawn - Into the Woods stamp set, stamped her in Memento - Tuxedo Black ink and colored her with Copics:
E59, E27, E25, E23, R22, R20

I used the matching Into the Woods die set to cut her out along with the clouds and the 'hello' speech bubble.  I stamped the 'hello' from the same stamp set.  I am in LOVE with this set, it's adorable!  I used the Lawn Fawn - Into the Woods 6x6 paper pad for the green grass.  I guess today is just a Lawn Fawn - filled project!  So to continue with the theme, I stamped the background with the Woodgrain Backdrops stamp set from, you guessed it, Lawn Fawn!

To finish everything off I added some coordinating twine and some white gel pen stitch lines.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a great day!  :)

Happy Birthday with Vellum

Hi, everyone!  Today I have a birthday card to share with you using a few SP & Company stamps!  For the main image I used the In Love Emma stamp set.  I colored her with my Copics and then cut her out leaving a small white border.  I also stamped, colored, and cut out the present from the same set but this time without a border.  I wanted her to be holding it so I just popped it up on some dimensional adhesive.  The 'Happy Birthday' sentiment is from the Bold Sentiments III: Birthdays stamp set.  This is a great set for anything birthday or party related!

I paper pieced Emma's dress using a pretty pattern from the Echo Park - Beautiful Life 6x6 paper pad.  The red strip that the sentiment is on is also from this same paper pad.

The blue background on the card base was done using the Musical background stamp.  I repeated it all the way down the card and then covered the whole front with a piece of vellum.  This helps to mute the background so it's not so overwhelming.

I finished everything off with some white gel pen stitch lines and a few rhinestones.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a great day!

Little Gift Boxes

Hi, everyone!  Today I have a couple of little gift boxes to share with you.  I used a few products from the newest Lawn Fawn release.  I am in love with most everything from this release and it all went on my must-have list, hah!  I stamped the bottom part of the boxes with the woodgrain from the Lawn Fawn - Woodgrain Backdrops stamp set.  The little animals are from the Lawn Fawn - Critters in Costume stamp set.  I had a hard time deciding what to use, the stamp sets are full of little elements!  I stamped them both on X-Press IT Blending Paper in Memento - Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with Copics:
bear bee- E59, E57, E55, Y35, Y15, Y13, Y11, C9, C7, C5, B0000
bunny pumpkin- C3, C1, C0, YR18, YR16, YR15, YR14, YR12, G28, G24, G21

I cut the little critters out with the matching Critters in Costume die set.  I decided to make them into tags so I just cut each animal out again (without stamping it first).  Then I just made a little score line at the top part of the back piece and adhered only the top part (to the front) so it could fold open.

The tops of both boxes were made using the Lawn Fawn - Into the Woods 6x6 paper pad.  My main idea was to make one box for Halloween and one box for Thanksgiving.  I really like the variety of paper in this pad and how it worked out for both!

I punched a little hole in each of the tag tops and added them with some twine around a ribbon bow.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a great day!  :)

Merry Christmas Snowman

Hi, everyone!  Today I have a Christmas card to share with you featuring the brand new SP & Company - Snow Much Fun stamp set.  He is from the Gill Roberts collection and is totally adorable!  I colored him with my Copics and added a little sparkle with a glitter pen to his scarf and a few of the presents.  This set also comes with a bunch of awesome sentiments!

I used all three of the snowflakes from the Christmas Medley stamp set for the background on the kraft card stock and the 'Merry Christmas' sentiment.  I knew I wanted to add a button with some twine so I decided to notch the edge of the white piece with a 1" circle punch.  This made the perfect spot for an Avocado Green button to nestle in.

The black paper behind the snowman is from the Echo Park - 'Tis the Season 6x6 paper pad.  I finished everything off with some Glossy Accents on his nose and the berries on his hat and some white gel pen stitch lines on the black paper.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a great day!  :)
