I ruff you!

Hi, everyone!  Today I have a love card to share with you.  I used the brand new Lawn Fawn - Critters at the Dog Park stamp set and the Lucky Stars stamp set.  The dogs were stamped in Memento - Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copics:
C9, C7, C6, C5, C4, C3, C2
E29, E27, E25, E23
R24, R22, R20

I heat embossed the stars from the Lucky Stars set in clear embossing powder and then made a curved mask and masked off where I wanted the grass.  I used the Ranger - Broken China Distress Ink and foam applicator for the sky and the Peeled Paint Distress Ink for the grass.  I added a tiny bit of Black Soot around all the edges to help deepen them.  I used the grass from the Critters at the Dog Park set to stamp along the top of the grass line.

To cut the dogs out I used the Lawn Fawn - Critters at the Dog Park dies.  I seriously love dies.  I think I've said this before but they are my new favorite crafty item!  I used the Lawn Fawn - Heart dies for the two layered hearts.  There's a tiny bow in the Dog Park set so I colored it and cut it out and added it to the girl dog's head.  I used my Memento - Tuxedo Black marker to add little whisker dots to both of their faces.  The sentiment is from the same dog set.  I cut one end into a banner shape and added an October Afternoon - Cakewalk button in red with some twine to the other side.  To finish everything off I added some Glossy Accents to the smaller heart and some gel pen stitch lines around the red layer.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a great day!

MarkerPOP! + Perfect Paper Crafting Blog Hop!

Hello everyone and welcome to the MarkerPOP! + Perfect Paper Crafting Blog Hop!!!

MarkerPOP! is the home of premium markers plus lots more!
Perfect Paper Crafting provides innovative tools, like the "Perfect Layers (tm)" border making tools/rulers, for all types of paper crafting.

Today we are teaming up to share some amazing projects using some of the awesome Perfect Paper Crafting Tools along with some of our favorite coloring tools from MarkerPOP.com.
If you are just joining us on the hop, you are going to want to start back at the beginning of the hop list which can be found at the end of this post!

For my project I used the adorable Sherri Baldy - Carley stamp.  I stamped her in Memento - Tuxedo Black ink and colored her with Copics:
E01, E00, E000
E29, E27, E25, E23
R22, R20
BG18, BG15, BG13
C9, C7, C5, C3, C2, C1, C0
B0000, B000, B00

All the patterned paper is from the American Crafts - Amy Tangerine Yes Please 6x6 paper pad.  The sentiment is from the SP & Company - Sunshine Emma stamp set.  The dark teal layer is the Bazzill - Jawbreaker Card Shoppe card stock, the pink is the Cotton Candy and the green is the Juicy Pear.

I used the Perfect Layers Tools to make both the teal and pink layer along with the green!  It's really easy to make all different sized layers because there's really no measuring needed!  The teal and green layers are each 1/16" and the pink and 3/16"  The rulers have a little lip underneath that catches the top layer at just the right measurement so you're able to take a craft knife and cut along the edge of the ruler to get the perfect sized bottom layer!

PRIZES: We have TWO fun Perfect Paper Crafting prizes up for grabs.  One sponsored by MarkerPOP! and one from Perfect Paper Crafting!

Prize #1 - Sponsored by Perfect Paper Crafting:  $50 Gift Certificate to the PerfectPaperCrafting.com store!
Prize #2 - Sponsored by MarkerPOP!:  Set of Perfect Tears Tools

Stitched Hello Speech Bubble

Hi, everyone!  Today I have a card for you that uses some Lawn Fawn!  I used the Critters on the Savanna stamp set and matching dies along with the Quinn's ABCs stamp set and matching dies.  I stamped everything in Memento - Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with Copics:
h- R29, R26, R24, R22
e- YR18, YR16, YR14, YR12
l- G28, G07, G03, G02
l- Y35, Y15, Y11
0- RV25, RV14, RV13, RV11
!- B25, B24, B23
rhino- C7, C6, C5, C3, C2

I wanted to make a clean and simple card because they are my favorite, but I wanted to add a little something extra.  I decided to stitch a speech bubble for the 'hello!' using the Purple Crush Baker's Twine.  I drew the speech bubble out by hand first, pierced somewhat even holes and then backstitched with the twine.  I have done this with other shapes in the past and I really like the look.

To finish everything off I added some Glossy Accents to the rhino's horn and some white gel pen stitch lines around the kraft layer.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a great day!  :)

Happy Mother's Day Tag with Flower Magnet

Hi, everyone!  Today I have a Mother's Day tag to share with you that includes a flower magnet.  There's actually no Copic coloring on this project but I did use a few dies!  All the patterned paper on this tag is from the Echo Park - Sweet Girl 6x6 paper pad.

The flower was all cut from the Xcut - Petal Posy (Large) die set.  I like how it comes with the little circle and scalloped circle centers as well.  The leaves on the flower were cut from the Marianne Designs - Anja Leaves 2 die set.  I cut them out with white cardstock and then added some Art Anthology - June Bud paint with my finger.  The base of the tag was cut from the My Favorite Things - Insert It Instaframe die.  I shortened the die cut a tiny bit at the bottom because I didn't need all the extra space just for the sentiment.  I noticed the flower got a little lost on the tag so I sponged the edges of the petals just a little bit with some tan ink.

To finish everything off I added a Pebbles - Candy Dot in White to the center of the flower and some Sun Kissed Twine to hang the tag from.

I sandwiched a second magnet between the top layer and the back layer of the tag so the flower would magnet to the tag without using adhesive.

Masculine Birthday on Kraft

Hello, everyone!  Today I have a masculine birthday card to share with you!  I used the SP & Company - Swirly Doos stamp set for everything on the main panel and the Wooden It Be Nice Woodgrain Background stamp for the base.  I stamped the main swirly image in the Ocean Waves Premium Chalk Ink, the Happy Birthday in Clown Fish and the small sentiment below in Avocado Green.  I used the Ocean Waves and Avocado Green ink pads to color a few strips of kraft cardstock so that I could have paper that matched perfectly with the stamping.  I used the Sandcastle ink to stamp the background.  I LOVE how this looks on kraft cardstock.  I'll definitely be doing this more in the future.

To finish everything off I added a few silver brads and a Sandcastle button to the center of the swirly doo.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a great day!  :)

I used the presents that came with the set to stamp my own background on the kraft cardstock.  I really like how this came out, it's cute and subtle.  The purple patterned paper is from the Echo Park - Winter Wishes 6x6 paper pad and the yellow is from the Echo Park - Sweet Girl 6x6 paper pad.  I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set on a strip of velum and just wrapped it around the yellow layer.

To finish everything off I added some Glossy Accents and Stickles to the gifts in her arms.

Happy Day Button Circle

Hi, everyone!  Today I have another card that showcases the awesome new COLORS from SP & Company!  I decided I wanted to have a lot of dots on this card but have one be punched out and backed with buttons.  I used various sized circle punches and punched out white card stock and then colored then with the new SP & Company - Premium Chalk Ink Pads.
The colors used are:

I used the Avocado Green buttons and clustered them together behind the biggest circle.  The sentiment is from the Sunshine Emma stamp set.  To help the sentiment stand out a little more I added two score lines on the top and bottom.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a great day!  :)

Sending Smiles - Color on Black

Hi, everyone!  Today I have a card to share with you that showcases a lot of the new products from SP & Company!  I used the Sunshine Emma stamp set for the two clouds, sun, sunglasses and sentiment.  You can also see Emma in the background heat embossed with clear embossing powder.  I wanted her to be visible but not be the main focus.

The four colored images were all stamped with new premium chalk inks!  The sun was stamped in Clown Fish, the bigger cloud in Aqua Seaglass, the smaller cloud in Ocean Waves and the sunglasses in Avocado Green.  Then I cut all those images out using the Sunshine Emma die tools set.  Lastly I added a coordinating button to each die cut.  Clown Fish, Aqua Seaglass, Ocean Waves and Avocado Green.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a great day!  :)

Happy Anniversary - One Layer Card

Hi, everyone!  For today I decided to focus on one layer cards.  I actually really love one layer cards because they are clean and also perfect for mailing.  This card is actually for my husband for our 1 year wedding anniversary which is next weekend!  I can't believe how time flies.  Seems like just yesterday we were planning for the big day!  Funny thing is, I'm actually excited to get that top tier of the wedding cake out of our freezer.  It's taking up a lot of room!  LOL!  Too bad frozen cake doesn't taste good a year later.  ;)

For the card I used the adorable Some Odd Girl - Love Bandit stamp set for the raccoon, the hearts, and the black sentiment.  I stamped the little raccoon in Memento - Tuxedo Black ink and colored him with Copics:
C9, C7, C6, C5, C4, C3, C2, C1
E19, E17, E15
100

Don't be afraid to color with your Copics on kraft card stock!  I am having a lot of fun with this lately.  It completely changes the look and is different from the usual white.  To give the card interest without adding layers I did a lot of masking and stamping.  The X-Press It - Mask It Medium Tack Film Sheets are PERFECT for this.  I love this stuff.  It has the right amount of stick and it's thin which is really important if you're stamping over it.  AND, it's clear!  So you can see exactly where you're putting it if you want to mask over something you've already stamped.  I always save my masks of stamps.  I just stick them to the back of the packaging so I have them for the next time I want to mask something.
Copic Happy Anniversary Raccoon One Layer 1

To finish everything off I added some white gel pen around the circle of hearts and the sentiment.

Thanks for Owl You Do Gift Bag

Hi, everyone!  Today I have a gift bag to share with you.  I actually didn't use a stamp for my main image on this project, I used the CottageCutz - Stylized Owl die.  I cut all the pieces out with white card stock and colored them with Copics:
Owl: E29, E27, E25, E23
Feet and Beak: YR15, Y35, Y15
Branch: E19, E17, E15
Leaves: G28, G05, G03
Eyes: 100, C1, C0

I think it's kind of fun to do this because you don't have to worry about cutting every piece out in different colors and you can also add shading if you color with your Copics.

For the frame around the owl I used the My Favorite Things - Insert It Instaframe die.  I covered a piece of white card stock diagonally with different washi tapes and then I die cut the shape.  The die cut surprisingly well through the washi tape and I love how it looks!  The sentiment stamp was just something I had in my stash.  I thought it coordinated perfectly so I had to use it.  I stamped it in Memento - Tuxedo Black ink and colored the tiny owl with the same Copics as the large one.  I added some Glossy Accents to his pupils, beak and feet for some added shine.  I finished everything off with some white get pen stitch lines, some Key Lime Baker's Twine and a green October Afternoon - Cakewalk button.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a great day!

Happy Mother's Day Teddy

Hi, everyone!  Today I have a Mother's Day card to share with you using the brand new SP & Company - Teddy Chasing Butterflies stamp from the Gill Roberts collection.  This little guy is adorable!  I colored everything with my Copic markers and cut out the image with a circle die.  I hadn't made a shape card in awhile so I decided it was time!

The little mother's day sentiment is from the For Every Woman stamp set.  The patterned papers are from the Echo Park - Bundle of Joy Boy 6x6 paper pad.  I finished everything off with some gel pen stitch lines and a little rhinestone brad.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a great day!  :)

Swing by sometime! - Blog Hop

Welcome to the SP & Company April Blog Hop! Not only do we have a brand new Design Team sharing creations, we have a fabulous Guest Designer, Leah L'Orange, showcasing her creations using SP & Company product all month long. Today we are showing off our brand new releases. We've got so many great, new supplies to add to your crafty fun.

Last month we introduced our new Die Tools, and we have even more Die Tools coming out this month! And don't forget about the new SP Storage Binder System to help with organization of dies and stamps. This month, we also have amazing new artist, joining the SP family - Gill Roberts! We will be releasing lots of new Gill Roberts Collection stamp sets today, along with a few coordinating dies.

Scrapmaster's Paradise is now IN COLOR with the release of six new SP exclusive colors. Our exclusive color line now includes button mixtures and coordinating premium chalk ink pads.  The ink pads will begin shipping mid-month, but the buttons are available starting right now in the SP & Company Store. What's great about our new button mixtures is they come in adorable metal tins for easy storage and organization!

For my project I used the brand new Swinging Girl stamp from the Gill Roberts Collection and colored her with my Copics.  I think she is absolutely adorable!  There's also a Swinging by Sentiments mini set that you can get too!  I used one of the stamps from the set and stamped it on a cloud cut from the Sunshine Emma die tools set.  I really can't seem to stop using those clouds!

The amazing new buttons are mixed so you get lots of different sizes and styles.  I found this unique Sandcastle button in my little tin and it had two holes that were the perfect size for some 1/4" ribbon.  I thought it would be fun to run it through and then tie a bow.

The stamp comes with one butterfly, but I cut it apart so I'd be able to stamp extras.  The one on the bottom is the additional one I added.

The background is stamped in white craft ink using the Wooden It Be Nice background stamp.  I finished everything off with some white gel pen stitch lines and some Stickles on the butterflies.
Thanks so much for stopping by.  We hope you have a great time hopping with us!!!  :)

Hello Sunshine - Coloring Wavy Skirt

Hi, everyone!  Today I have another beachy card to share with you!  I used the Tiddly Inks - Beach Babe stamp set for all the stamping besides the sun.  I stamped everything in Memento - Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with Copics:
hair: E27, E57, E35
skin: E01, E00, E000, R20 (Cheeks)
bathing suit: BG18, BG15, BG13, BG11, YR18, YR16, YR15, YR14, YR12
towel: YR18, YR16, YR15, YR14, YR12, YR35, YR15, YR11
purse: BV02, BV01, BV00
pail: C7, C5, C4, C3, C2
crab: R29, R27, R24, R22, R20
ground: E35, E31

For the sun I used the SP & Company - Sunshine Emma stamp set.  For the one little cloud I used the matching die tools set from SP & Company as well.  I just added a tiny bit of B000 around the outside and then used my Colorless Blender to lighten it.
Copic Hello Sunshine Beach 1
Copic Hello Sunshine Beach 2

I have noticed that a lot of images with skirts are somewhat wavy or ruffled.  You generally want the parts of the skirt that are dipping down to be darker since they are shadowed and the parts that are curved upward to be light since the light would be hitting that part the most.  I didn't blend as well as I normally might have so that you could really see the difference in the colors.

I started by adding a little BG18 to each dip in the skirt.
Copic Hello Sunshine Beach Tutorial 1
Then I took the BG15 and blended that out a little further avoiding the raised parts of the skirt.
Copic Hello Sunshine Beach Tutorial 2

I blended out even further with the BG13 leaving only the top parts of the ruffles white.

Finally I colored the remaining areas with BG11.

Sunshiney Smiles - Clouds and Sun

Hi, everyone!  Today I have a bright card to share with you.  I used the SP & Company - Sunshine Emma Die Tools Set for the clouds and the sun.  What I love about this set is you get FOUR cloud dies!  Two of those fit the clouds perfectly and the other 2 leave a slight border.  I used the Sunshine Emma stamp set for the sentiment and the Wooden It Be Nice background stamp for the woodgrain on the yellow base.  There's also an SP & Company sneaky peaky on this project!  That orange button, YES BUTTONS!  You'll be able to order these on the 10th.  :)

The orange button kind of drew the eye away from the clouds and sun so I added a tiny heart to help draw the attention back.  I used a Cuttlebug Embossing Folder on the light blue background to give it a little something extra.  Then, I finished everything off with a little Glossy Accents on the heart and some white gel pen stitch lines.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a great day!  :)

I Heart You Puppy

Hi, everyone!  For my project today I decided to color the adorable, Whiff of Joy – Maya’s Best Friend stamp.  I stamped it in Memento – Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with Copics:
skin – E01, E00, E000, R20 for Cheeks
hair – E35, Y35, Y23, Y15, Y11
dress – GB09, BG07, BG05, BG02, BV02, BV01, BV00
hat – E57, E55, E31
shoes – C7, C5, C4, C3, C2
dog – E27, E25, E23
Copic I Heart You Girl and Dog 1
The little doily that the sentiment is on is the Cheery Lynn Designs – French Pastry Tiny Doily die.  This thing is adorable and the die cuts extremely well.  I love all the little detail.  For the ‘i heart you’ sentiment I used the Lawn Fawn – Critters on the Savanna set.  I inked up only the ‘i’ and ‘you’ in the ‘i’m wild about you’ stamp.  I find that I do this a lot if I want a certain font or certain sized letters.  The heart is the smallest die from the Lawn Fawn – Hearts die set.
To finish everything off I added some Glossy Accents to her necklace and bracelet, the dog’s tag and the purple heart.

Love Banner Window

Hi, everyone!  Today I have a love card for you!  I used the SP & Company - Big Build a Banner 1 stamp set and Big Build a Banner 1 Die Tools Set.  Dies are my new favorite thing in crafting, seriously!  I can't get enough.  I love the clean cut that you get and how it just improves the overall look of your projects.

I decided to do something a little different.  I cut the center of the front panel of the card out and used the banner pieces to make somewhat of a window.  The banner tops and bottoms are the only thing holding the 2 pieces of the card together.

The 'You' is actually from the Sunshine Emma stamp set.  I just used one of the sentiments that had the word 'Your' in it and left off the r at the end when inking.

I finished everything off by adding some red baker's twine and rhinestones and rounding the corners.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a great day!  :)

MarkerPOP! + All That Scraps Blog Hop!

Hello everyone and welcome to the MarkerPOP! + All That Scraps Blog Hop!!!

   MP_Banner2282013_MP+CC_MP+CC

MarkerPOP! is the home of premium markers plus lots more!
All That Scraps is the home of C.C. Designs stamps which we all know and love!

Today we are teaming up to share some amazing projects using the new C.C. Designs release along with some of our favorite coloring tools from MarkerPOP.com. If you are just joining us on the hop, you are going to want to start back at the beginning of the hop list which can be found at the end of this post!

For my project I used the C.C. Designs - Beautiful Lucy stamp for the main image and the C.C. Designs Butterfly Labels set for the sentiment.  I love how well these coordinate!  I stamped Lucy in Memento - Tuxedo Black ink colored her with Copics:
E29, E27, E25, E23
E01, E00, E000, R20 (Cheeks)
YG23, YG21
Y35, Y15, Y11
YR18, YR16, YR15, YR12
BG18, BG15, BG13, BG11
C1

All the patterned paper besides the yellow that the sentiment is on is from the Pebbles - Seen & Noted 6x6 paper pad.  I decided to paper piece her dress and hat with some paper from the same pad so it coordinated with everything.  I wanted to give her a little bling so I added some Liquid Pearls to the dots on her hat and dress, some gemstones to her antenna, and some Stickles to the yellow parts of her wings.  To finish everything off I added some white gel pen stitch lines around the orange border.

Now, onto the giveaways!  We have a couple awesome prizes up for grabs!

Recessed Clouds

Hello, everyone!  Today I have another card to share with you that uses the Sunshine Emma stamp set and matching Sunshine Emma Die Tools set.  I stamped Emma and then colored her with my Copics.  I had a lot of fun paper piecing her dress because the paper is sparkly!  I feel like it really made her look fancy, lol.
After I colored her I cut her out using the coordinating die.  No more fussy cutting, yay!  For the background I used a couple of the cloud dies in the set and randomly die cut some out of the dark blue card stock.  I heat embossed one of the sentiments in white on the bottom left corner.  I wanted the card to have a sentiment but didn't want it to overpower the main image.  I popped the background layer up on some dimensional adhesive so that it created a shadow behind the clouds.  I really liked how this turned out!
To finish everything off I added some white gel pen stitch lines around the outside edge of the dark blue.
Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a great day!  :)

Beachy Scene

Hi, everyone!  Today I have a beachy card to share with you!  The little girl and bucket with the crab are from the Tiddly Inks - Beach Babe stamp set.  I stamped them in Memento - Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with Copics:
E29, E27, E25, E23
E01, E00, E000
BG08, BG07, BG05, BG02
BV02, BV01, BV00

Y35, Y15, Y11
R29, R27, R24, R22, R20
C7, C5, C4, C3, C2, C1
Copic Beach Scene Girl and Crab 1
For the background on the yellow base I used the little border stamp from the Tiddly Inks set and repeated it until the base was covered.  The clouds were die cut out of felt from the SP & Company - Sunshine Emma Die Set.  The sun was cut from the same set but stamped first with the Sunshine Emma stamp set.

The patterned paper that I used for the sky is from the Pebbles - Seen & Noted 6x6 paper pad.  This is still one of my favorite paper pads!

For the sand I sprayed some kraft card stock with the Art Anthology - Focus spray.  I really like how this looks!  To finish everything off I added some Glossy Accents to the crab and the center of the flower in her hair and added some gel pen stitch lines around the pink layer.

Note Card Pizza Box

Hi, everyone!  Today I have a note card set to share with you.  For all the stamping I used the new Lawn Fawn - Critters on the Savanna stamp set.  I stamped everything in Memento - Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with Copics:
C9, C7, C5, C3, C2, C1, C0
E29, E27, E25
Y26, Y23, Y21
Bg09, BG07, BG05, BG02
G28, G07, G05, G03
B000

Here is a photo of the completed box.  I used some Plush Blush Baker's Twine and added a button to keep the box closed.  Don't forget to stamp and color on the box before you assemble it!
Copic Hi There Notecard and Box Set 1
To open the box you just slip off the twine and it opens like a pizza box.  The size of the box is 3 1/4" x 3 1/4" x 3/4" and it fit four 3" note cards (with dimension) perfectly.  If you didn't want the colored portion from the front of the box showing through like you can see here, you can easily just color it on a separate sheet of paper an cut it out.  Since I colored directly on the box I will probably go back and add a sheet of card stock to the inside to cover it up.
Copic Hi There Notecard and Box Set 2
Here's all the note cards together.  I wanted to use all of the sentiments and main animals included in the set and also add one of the birds to each for an added pop of color.  Also... I realized after I was all done that the colors on my lion are backwards.  Oops!  He's just special.  :)
What I was most excited to use, along with the stamps, are the new matching Lawn Cuts Dies for Critters on the Savanna!  That's my new favorite obsession, DIES!!!  I cut out my images a lot and to have matching dies saves me a lot of time.  Not to mention that it also looks better too!
Copic Hi There Notecard and Box Set 3
Something that is cool about long clear sentiment stamps is that you can curve them!  That's what I did with the sentiment above the lion.
Copic Hi There Notecard and Box Set 4
I really love animal sets as you can tell and Lawn Fawn has lots of them!
